Recently the engine list of both the Mercedes E-Class limousine and the E-Class T-Modell were extended and today the E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet are following suit and get the same updates.
Until recently, Mercedes-Benz delivered the E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet only with four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, but that is now changing. The well-known 184 hp and 300 Nm strong E 200 and the 245 hp and 380 Nm strong E 300 get a stronger brother: the E 350. The E 350 has a 299 hp and 400 Nm strong 2.0 four-cylinder in the nose.
More petrol news comes in the form of the E 450 4Matic. In the nose of this new variant we find a 367 hp and 500 Nm strong V6 – so not the latest inline-six. The Mercedes-AMG E 53 4Matic with its 435 hp and 520 Nm strong 3.0 six-in-line sits at the top of the Coupé and the Cabriolet range.
Diesel fans can still opt for the 194 hp and 400 Nm strong E 220 d, but from now on there is much more to choose in this field. Mercedes-Benz now offers the 245 hp and 500 Nm strong four-cylinder E 300 d on the delivery list. The new top diesel is the E 400 d, which is always equipped with 4Matic drive. In the E 400 d beats a 340 hp and 700 Nm strong 3.0 in-line six.
