Based on the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance, Brabus has created a super sedan. The Brabus 930 delivers 930 PS and 1,510 Nm and is the fastest S-Class ever.

When Brabus installed a V12 engine with a displacement increased from 6 to 6.3 liters in the Brabus 850, based on the Mercedes-Maybach S 680, it seemed like the superlative for a luxury sedan. The 6,233 cc V12 engine develops 850 PS and 1400 Nm, accelerating the luxury limousine from 0 to 100 kph in 4.1 seconds.

But Plug-In Hybrid technology has opened new perspectives for performance models. Thus, based on the new Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance that develops 802 PS and 1,430 Nm, coming from the V8 bi-turbo 4-liter thermal engine with 612 PS and 900 Nm combined with an electric motor that drives the rear axle and develops 190 PS and 320 Nm, Brabus developed the Brabus 930 model.

The Plug-in Hybrid propulsion system develops 930 PS and 1,510 Nm, 128 PS, and 80 Nm more than the standard model. Thus, with a kerb weight of about 2.6 tons, the Brabus 930 accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in only 3.2 seconds (AMG S 63 E Performance 3.3 s) and reaches a maximum speed of 290 kph (250 kph for AMG S 63 E performance). Unfortunately, Brabus does not give any details about the modifications it has made to the propulsion system.

The German tuner only explains that the V8 engine has a specific sound due to the valve-controlled stainless steel Brabus sports exhaust system. Depending on the driving mode chosen, the sound intensity changes from subtle in “Coming Home” mode to the inimitable sound of the Brabus V8 engine in “Sport” mode. The exhaust system has four visible exhaust pipes, with a diameter of 76 mm, made of carbon and titanium, perfectly integrated into the carbon diffuser.

The body is aerodynamically optimized in the wind tunnel and has carbon elements. Thus, the front part stands out through the Brabus front spoiler with raised side flaps, while the carbon attachments for the side air intakes integrated into the front apron provide an even more targeted airflow to the radiators and front brakes. The Brabus radiator grill with exposed carbon RamAir intakes optimizes the supply of air to the engine.

The Brabus 930 runs on the new 22-inch Brabus Monoblock ZM “Platinum Edition” high-tech forged wheels, characterized by a Black and Bold center disc design as well as 20 elegant spokes. With the Brabus SportXtra suspension module, the Brabus 930 can be lowered by up to 10 millimeters, depending on the selected drive program.

The interior is dressed in black high-grade leather, and as with any Brabus model, the attention to detail impresses with the Brabus “Seashell Diamond” quilting pattern, as well as matching black topstitching and piping. The “Heritage” brand pattern with embossed “77” logos applied to the sides of each seat pays homage to the founding of Brabus in 1977. The Brabus logo on the steering wheel is another undeniable indicator of the luxury liner’s unique provenance. The black leather upholstery combines elegantly with the Brabus Signature Carbon Carbon fiber inserts in the center of the dashboard and center console. Brabus aluminum pedals and door sill trims feature an illuminated Brabus logo, which changes color to match the interior’s ambient lighting.
