Mercedes-Benz is said to offer two engine versions for the new generation Mercedes-AMG A 45. The first of these will offer 388 hp, while the top of the range will develop as much as 422 hp.
Mercedes prepares a new generation AMG A 45. The German manufacturer’s hot hatch will be presented during the current year, and the model is currently being tested at the Arjeplog center in Sweden.
Autocar has tested one of these prototypes and comes with a host of new information on the resources of the future Mercedes-AMG A 45. According to the British magazine, the 2.0 liter turbo engine prepared by the Germans will be offered in two stages of power. Hence, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 will be available in 388 hp guise or in the top A 45 S variant with 422 hp.
The 2.0-liter unit’s resources will be managed by an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 4Matic + intelligent all-wheel drive system, already available on larger models. Also, the new Mercedes-AMG A 45 will offer a “Drift Mode”.
Inside, the new Mercedes-AMG A 45 will be equipped with a special version of the MBUX infotainment system and will also feature the SuperSport theme, most likely derived from that offered on the AMG GT4 4-Door Coupe.
