With a few days before Christmas, AMG keeps distance from the emotional videos such as that in which Dr. Dieter Zetsche has recently starred. In preparation of the future Mercedes-AMG A45, the power company continues to play rough.

The future Mercedes-AMG A45 wears colorful camouflage in its outing to the racetrack, shows the latest video from Affalterbach. It is „not another Christmas video”, the short film announces. The Christmas carol is actually the sound of the engine.

The A45 is going to be the more aggressive sibling of the already presented A35, introduced this past September. The car will get the Panamericana radiator grille at the front and the four-tailpipe exhaust at the opposite end, accompanied by a rear wing that prevents it from keeping a low profile.

The model will get the company’s new turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine capable of churning out 400 horsepower, coupled to the new 8-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, instead of the 7-speed transmission fitted in the A35. These are the weapons that will make it literally overtake the A35 in terms of acceleration and speed. The Mercedes-AMG A35 hits 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 4.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h.

The future Mercedes-AMG A45 will standardly get the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and most probably, the new Drift mode, from whose presence the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe benefits.
