The first-ever pick-up wearing the Mercedes-AMG logo might be closer than we think if we are to believe our colleagues from Mbworld.org.
The prospect of a hot new Mercedes X-Class AMG super pick-up is an enticing one, to say the least. But what would such a beast look like? Digital artists from Mbworld.org were kind enough to answer, giving us a world-first glimpse at the top-of-the-line fully-fledged sports Mercedes-AMG X 63 variant.
As expected, the X 63 AMG rendering is the result of grafting the now ubiquitous Mercedes-AMG C 63 or GLC 63 cues such as the wide gaping front air intake, aprons, large alloys and sporty grille on the regular body. This is exactly what Mercedes-AMG specialists would be having in mind for their own official version (if they would ever build anything remotely close to it).
Specifications are not known, but we can easily speculate about what might be hiding under the ball dress: the 4,0 litre V8 bi-turbo lifted straight from its GLC 63 AMG smaller brother and the rest of the Mercedes-AMG line-up for that matter. In two flavours, of course, the 476 HP entry-level version (if we can call it that away given its on-board arsenal) and the 510 HP range-topper.
Don’t get too carried away though… For now, the Mercedes-AMG X-Class remains only a dream, with no plan whatsoever from Daimler to actually build one. Even so, this was a fun exercise of imagination.
