After the many new models launched in 2023, the Mercedes calendar in 2024 will be dominated mainly by new versions of existing models. Two new models are expected from smart.
In January 2024 Mercedes will launch the E-Class All Terrain, an E-Class T-Model for rough terrain. It will be followed by the CLE Cabrio just in time for the warm season, and in summer, the new AMG CLE 53 4Matic will debut as a coupe and cabrio with turbocharged inline-6 engine and 449 PS under the hood. The same strategy will apply to the AMG versions of the E-Class, which will ditch V8 engines in favor of hybridized inline 6-cylinder powerplants. This engine will also be available for the E-Class T-Model.
Things will be different at the top of the range for the new AMG GT, which Mercedes presented in a concept form at the Munich Motor Show. The AMG GT S E Performance features a turbocharged four-litre V8 with a Plug-In Hybrid system taken over from the AMG GT 4-door that develops 843 PS. This powertrain has already presented on the Mercedes-AMG SL S E Performance.
The G-Class also won’t be ditching the V8 engine after the summer facelift.
Also expected in the autumn is the Mercedes EQG, the electric version of the G-Class, which will have an electric motor at each wheel, giving it maximum flexibility and traction in off-road. But before the EQG, facelifted versions of the V-Class and EQV will be available in May 2024.
Later in the year, the electric CLA will debut, the first production model in the upcoming entry-level family based on the new MMA (Mercedes Modular Architecture) platform designed as “Electric First.” Later, the CLA will receive conventional engines. In the future, the range will be completed with a shooting brake and two SUVs, successors to the GLA/EQA and GLB/EQB.

Model #3 is the longer and flatter coupe version of model #1, and deliveries will start in spring 2024. As with Model #1, there is a choice of two versions with one engine (200 kW) or two motors (315 kW), each with a 62 kWh battery capacity. Two other models have already been confirmed: #4 in the format of a Mercedes A-Class will probably celebrate its premiere in late 2024, while #2 is the two-seater successor to the smart fortwo and will debut in 2025.
