The new Mercedes-Benz CLA has just been presented in Las Vegas and it already sparked the imagination of the digital artists. The four-door coupe has been reimagined as a Shooting Brake by X-Tomi Design.

The series variant is expected to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Until then though, we get to see a previewing digital model, with a slightly larger footprint and more space onboard and in the boot. The sloping roof will though have an impact on the headroom, but the CLA has never been a champion in that sense.

The front end of the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake will mimic that of the coupe, but the side line and rear end will follow a different path from the B pillar rearwards.

The interior will be similar to that of the car revealed at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show. Therefore, the MBUX infotainment system with dual-screen display, will also be available in three different sizes for the Shooting Brake.

The engine lineup will be taken straight from the A-Class, with a selection of petrol and diesel units. The manual and automatic transmissions will be offered depending on the engine, while the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system will be optional. A super-potent Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 is expected to hit the market towards the end of the year, powered by the company’s 2.0-liter turbo engine with in excess of 400 horsepower. An AMG 35 variant is also in the cards.
