The all-new 2016 Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe has been officially unveiled. For the time being though a solitary picture is all we get in anticipation of the full press release bound to break cover sometimes tomorrow. Stay tuned for more info.
Following countless leaks and teasers, the new star of the C-Class derived AMG line-up is finally showing its face. Probably the worst kept secret in recent memory, the design of the all-new Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe ups the ante compared to its regular sibling thanks to a sharper aero kit sporting bigger wheel arches and alloys, a rear diffuser and larger than life spoiler.
The C 63 S Coupe top variant impresses even more with its unique grille design and front lip extension plus a long list of black painted exterior elements such as the side mirrors, door sills, alloy wheels and aprons.
Mercedes is still keeping under wraps the exact specifications of the M178 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 under the hood. Even so, we can already confirm the mighty powerplant powering the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe will feature a revolutionary pair of turbochargers, mounted up high between the cylinder banks, and will be available in two states of tune. The base model is expected to get 476 HP while the top-of-the-range C 63 Coupe S will match the mighty GT S supercar with 510 HP.
We’ll come back with the full set of data as soon as Mercedes releases the full press kit.
