The Mercedes C-Class best-seller will receive a new generation in 2020. The Germans are preparing little aesthetic changes, but a much more modern interior. Latest info and spy video.
Earlier last year, Mercedes-Benz presented the Class C facelift. The aesthetic and technological changes were minor and aimed at the easy refreshing of one of the models that helped Mercedes-Benz claim the top position in premium sales in recent years.
To stay in the race, Mercedes-Benz is already preparing the next-generation C-Class C. Testing prototypes have already been captured by spy shots during winter sessions.
According to the latest batch of spy pictures, the new Mercedes C-class will not get significant aesthetic changes compared to the current generation, but there will be sufficient changes in size (longer length and width). Mercedes will improve also the aerodynamics of the mid-segment model.
Inside, the Germans are preparing an upgraded version of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX), the advanced infotainment system that first debuted on the A-Class. At the same time, the digital dashboard (instrument panel and center display) would be inspired by the one currently offered on the compact segment hatchback.
There is no official information on the future range of engines, but certainly Mercedes-Benz will electrify its future C-Class with mild-hybrid and fully hybrid propulsion systems. Of the course, the sportier versions signed by the Mercedes-AMG performance division will sit at the top of the line-up, complete with six-cylinder hybridized turbos or the mighty V8 bi-turbo developed by AMG.
