Those who cannot afford the top of the range S-Class Coupe, can order the smaller versions, in 1:18 scale from Norev and 1:43 from iscale.
The driving premiere of new S-Class Coupe took place in June. The price list was already published and the car will hit the showrooms in September, 2014. Meanwhile, in Mercedes dealerships, but also in the online shop http://shop.mercedes-benz.com, two high quality model cars will be available in two scales – 1:18 from Norev and 1:43 from iScale.
The 1:43 model from iScale consists of 50 individual parts and can be purchased in three colours – design Diamond white bright, Magnetic black metallic and Cavansite blue. The models have a panorama roof, Intelligent light system and 5 spoke alloy wheels.

The 1:18 version made by Norev has 110 individual parts and can be ordered in metallic design Diamond white bright and Emerald green metallic. It has up to 210 decorations. The bonnet and the boot can both be opened.
The recommended sales prices in Germany are 29,90 euro 19% VAT included, for the iScale model and 79,90 euro 19% VAT included, for Norev model.
Mercedes has a long tradition in modelcar industry, with top of the range coupes. The former generations of CL were made in 1/43 by Autoart (C216) and Minichamps (C215 and C140), meanwhile the last SEC (W126) built between 1979-1992, was manufactured by Autoart.
Ab der “B-Säule” sind den Sterndesignern beim AMG GT Coupe die Ideen ausgegangen, ab da heisst es nur noch: “Das ist der beste Porsche, den Mercedes je gebaut hat.” Die Linienführung, die Silhouette und die Zeichnung der Rücklichter, das ist schlichtweg kopiert, gut kopiert.
Eine muskulöser Kotflügelkante hätte die Stern-gewohnte Eigendynamik gewahrt, aber so nicht. Schade. Aston Martin läßt auch grüßen, wenn ich mir Bonds neues Dienstfahrzeug im “Spectre” anschaue.
