Carlex Design has something very special cooking in its development center: the company promises to offer a six-wheel variant of the Mercedes-Benz X-Class.
In July of this year, Carlex Design showed its vision of the Mercedes-Benz X-Class, a lavishly decorated creation with a substantial Maybach influence. The Polish company has its mind set again on the X-Class and shows the first images of a new variation on the pick-up theme wearing the Mercedes-Benz badge.
Meet the Mercedes-Benz X-Class Exy 6×6 Concept. Indeed, a harbinger of a six-wheel X-Class with which Carlex Design naturally winks at the Mercedes-AMG G 63 6×6 that was presented in 2013. These first images show an X-Class that in any case is not inferior to that extreme AMG model from 5 years ago.
The Exy 6×6 Concept has an extended loading platform, three axles, off-road tires and brand new rear end. We see add-on rivets on the protrusive wheel arches and an impressive-looking scaffolding has been given a place above the loading platform. More adjustments come in the form of an LED bar on the roof, sturdy sidebars and a front where things like a modified bonnet, tough looking bumpers and a winch now seem like natural additions to the X-Class formula.
Carlex Design does not make any statements about possible engineadjustments. It remains to be seen whether the Polish company can bring this digital X-Class to life.
