Mercedes is preparing over 30 launches (new models and updates for current models) by 2022 and the list includes five electric cars, too, according to information published by the British press.
The strategy for the next 3 years involves a busy schedule for Mercedes’ development department, as shown by some unofficial information. The British press claims that Mercedes will launch over 30 new models (including updates for existing ones) by the end of 2022.
The list includes new generations for the C-Class and S-Class, as well as a production version for the Project One hypercar. Mercedes also gears up for the launch of the new Mercedes SL, which could be introduced at the beginning of 2021.
The manufacturer is also preparing 5 electric models in the EQ range, as well as hybrids for the AMG performance division. The plug-in hybrid version for the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe (the four-door version of the AMG GT) is expected to enter series production by the end of 2020.
According to Autocar, Mercedes will also finally release the production version of the Project One hypercar, with deliveries expected to debut in 2021.
