2017 Mercedes S-Class facelift is getting ready to receive its customary nip-and-tuck procedure sometimes this Autumn. The upgraded model has been spied on video by casual Mercedes spotter Walko.
Presented back in 2013, the S-Class still holds the crown of best selling luxury saloon in the world. The seemingly rushed facelift comes as something of a surprise then. Walko’s exclusive spy video shows minimal design changes, though, limited to new headlamps plus a redesigned grille, front and rear bumpers.
The video gives us a preview of the updated dashboard design as well. Among the changes we notice a set of bigger digital screens. The silver frame and the mechanical switches separating the indicators from the central multimedia screen are also now gone, apparently. The fresh layout will first make an appearance alongside the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class this April.
Tech-wise, the Mercedes S-Class facelift is expected to receive a host of new assistance systems, complete with semi-autonomous driving capabilities. Mercedes is also said to go back to its L6 roots with a new generation of inline-six engines, also set to be unveiled for the first time next year, on the all-new E-Class.
