Since the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe was unveiled in December 2016, the car has already received a new engine and a minor update. However, the real update has yet to come, as the first spy images from Carscoops prove.
The E-Class pictured clearly deviates from the version that is now in the showrooms, especially at the front. A lower grille with slightly sharpened headlights give the car a small touch of CLS, as do the pointed headlights that shine on that car and the new A-Class. At the rear, the changes seem very small and the news is undoubtedly limited to a different layout of the rear light units.
That the E-Class coupe is already spotted in facelifted form is quite remarkable, because the two-door ‘E’ was presented later than the sedan and the T-Modell. Those two models will undoubtedly have to deal with a renewal round too and what applies to the Coupé, of course, also applies to the convertible. The open version of the E, one of the many Mercedes-Benz cabriolets, will also get a different front in due course.
New engines have recently appeared in the two-door E-Class, so chances are that not much will change in that area.
