Mercedes plans renewal of the Mercedes C-Class family. The sedan and T-Model will be upgraded around mid 2018 while the coupe and convertible will follow at the end of 2018 according to auto motor und sport informations.

The whole C-Class family will receive the new steering wheel from the new S-Class. The left lever for the cruise control will disappear and the controls for the cruise control will move on the steering wheel as auto motor und sport magazine informed.
New is also the option for the double 12.3 inch displays on the dashboard which will cost extra like in the E-Class. From the E-Class, the C-Class will take over the electronic architecture and thus C-Class will offer an expanded range of assistance systems including the remote parking with the application from a smartphone.
Externally, the camouflage of the now caught C-Class Coupé interprets a slightly modified front apron, a new radiator grille as well as changes to the rear apron.
There will be also a lot of modifications under the hood. The future C-Class family will receive the new generation of engines. In the diesel field we will find the new 2 liter diesel (OM654) with 194 HP and the new six inline 3 liter diesel (OM656) with 286 HP.
The V6 from the C 400 will be replace by the new 6 inline 3 liter petrol engine while the current 4.0 liter V8 AMG from the C 63 will remain in the program. AMG C 63 was the first series Mercedes to receive the new 4.0 liter V8 bi-turbo after the engine debut in the AMG GT.
