Mercedes-Benz has released the first photos and details of the new limited run SL Grand Edition. Available for order starting this month, it integrates a series of bodywork accessories signed by the AMG division and a garnished interior with plenty of amenities.
The special version will be available as of February 22, with the first copies coming to showrooms in March. The Mercedes-Benz SL Grand Edition will be available in the SL 400 and SL 500 versions. The former is using a 3.0 liter engine capable of delivering 367 horsepower and 500 Nm. The SL 500 is equipped with a 4.6 liter V8 engine that produces 455 horsepower and 700 Nm. Regardless of the chosen motoring, the Germans propose a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
The Mercedes-Benz SL Grand Edition will be offered as standard with 19-inch front and 20-inch AMG rims on the rear, while customers will have four exterior body shades to choose from. Mercedes also installs the logo with the name of the special edition and chrome elements.
As standard, customers will receive Airscarf, Multicontour massage and ventilation seats, Driving Assistance Plus, Active Parking Assist, and Brown Pearl-painted leather upholstery. Also, the sports wheel is finished in Nappa-leather.
No matter the chosen engine variant, Mercedes-Benz has prepared for the SL Grand Edition a slightly stiffer suspension. For the time being, prices have not yet been communicated.
