The Mercedes-Benz G-Class was the VIP guest at “The Matrix Resurrections” premiere in San Francisco, California. The off-roader became a “red pill” itself. It was on display right in front of the Castro Theater.
The Mercedes-Benz G 550 stars in the sci-fi movie that splits events into two realities: one of the everyday life and another one of what lies behind it.
The main character, Neo, faces that critical question once again. So will it be the red or the blue pill this time? The blue is for the everyday life of the simulated world of the Matrix. But he goes for the red one, to escape from the alien-determined life and go straight into the unknown world. It is there where he fights against the rule of the machine.
Mercedes-Benz installed the motorized red pill in front of the Castro Theater in San Francisco. It measures 12 meters long, 4 meters wide and 3.5 meters high. This “pill” contains a Mercedes-AMG G 63 in selenite grey. A Mercedes-Benz G 550 with U.S. specs shows up in the movie.
“The G-Class and the red pill go very well together. Both stand for freedom, individuality, and self-determination. That’s why we are delighted to support Warner Bros. Pictures with the worldwide cinema release of ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ with an extraordinary and attention-grabbing installation,” says Dr. Emmerich Schiller, CEO Managing Director Mercedes-Benz G GmbH and Head of the Off-Road Vehicle Product Division at Mercedes-Benz AG.
