Aston Martin Valhalla, arrives faster than the Mercedes-AMG ONE. But is this new rival actually faster?

The all-new hypercar comes with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that develops 750 horsepower and two electric motors of 204 horsepower for a total of 950 horsepwer. The future Mercedes-AMG ONE promises in excess of 1,000 horsepower. The model with the three-pointed star logo will get the 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine, carried over from the Formula 1 car that has won seven Constructors’ Championship titles in a row. It works with four electric motors of 163 horsepower each.

The final phase of development of the Aston Martin Valhalla took place under Tobias Moers supervision. He is the man that led AMG to glory for seven years, before leaving for the British car maker in 2020.

The Valhalla also carries over Formula 1 technology. It comes with a 600 kilogram downforce at 241 km/h. It hits 100 km/h from a standstill in just 2.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 330 km/h. In the electric mode though, the speedometer will stop at 130 km/h. Meanwhile, Mercedes-AMG credits the ONE with a 0-100 km/h run in 2.2 seconds. The top speed will be of around 350 km/h.

The car can only run for up to 15 kilometers with zero emissions, which is quite low by today’s standards. The Mercedes-AMG ONE should be able to cover 25 kilometers approximately.

An eight speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, that the team especially developed for the Valhalla, manages the resources.

The supercar weighs 1,550 kilograms due to a superlight construction with plenty of carbon fiber. A limited slip differential and a special Track mode complete the package.

Engineers changed their minds regarding the engine of the Aston Martin Valhalla

Aston Martin previewed this new supercar back in 2018 at the Geneva Motor Show. The British house than revealed a prototype that featured a 1.6-liter turbo engine and two electric motors. Only the latter ones remained.

The Brits are planning on making a splash at the Nurburgring. The Valhalla is hunting for a fast lap below 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
