CaDA, the maker of remote-controlled scale models made of interlocking building blocks, has realized a near-perfect replica of the Mercedes-AMG One from 3,295 pieces.

The 1:8 scale model is 57 cm (22 inches) long, 24.5 cm (9.5 inches) wide, and 16 cm (6 inches) high, a near-perfect replica of the Mercedes-AMG One supercar. The model contains 3,295 parts and features like the original car’s independent front and rear suspension, shock absorbers, and functional LED lights. The exterior design also perfectly reproduces the main elements, such as the longitudinal fin, the retractable rear wing, and 10-spoke wheels with tires with the original Michelin logo.

Even the V6 engine has been replicated to match the original and two pullback motors have been used to simulate the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS).

The model is fully functional with two L-motors controlled by separate buttons on the remote control and a two-speed gearbox that only a few models made from interlocking building blocks have. The car can be drive forwards/backward and left/right, and the speed and headlights are controllable by remote control, while the doors open at the push of a button.

This model was designed by the famous designer BrunoJJ1, who started designing interlocking building block models at the age of 10. Designing such a model starts from the inside with the running gear and the engine, and the second step is the exterior design. Then, prototypes of the parts, made with a 3D printer, are delivered in advance by CaDA so that BrunoJJ1 can ensure that the model respects as close as possible the proportions and details of the original car.

The Mercedes-AMG One model made by CaDA includes one L-motor, one pro servo motor, one receiver/battery box, one set of lights, one remote control with steering wheel control, and a manual with building instructions. You can find this model in specialized shops for 292 USD.

The Mercedes-AMG One is part of the Technician series of the CaDA range, which has also produced 1:8 scale models of the Ferrari LaFerrari, Land Rover Defender, Bugatti Chiron Voiture Noire, Lamborghini Centenario, and McLaren Speedtail.
