Mercedes-AMG GT R, the brand’s top supercar, serves as the new source of inspiration for Cigarette Racing. The latest joint speed-boat project will be unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show on February 16.
Details surrounding the new Cigarette Racing boat are scarce now. A single teaser image has been released and it reveals similar design traits and color schemes for both the new speed-boat and the GT R. Bright green, the signature paint of the GT R is featured prominently on its water rocking correspondent.
Mercedes design chief himself, Gorden Wagener, is said to have taken an pivotal role in the creation of the new Cigarette Racing boat.
Mercedes and Cigarette Racing go way back. In fact, Mercedes-AMG and the boating company are celebrating 10 years of cooperation this year.
The Mercedes-AMG GT is also not at its first stint as a muse for a racing boat. Cigarette Racing has already unveiled two other similar projects in the past two years, each drawing inspiration from the GT S and GT3 variants of the supercar.
