The fastest SUV in its class at the Nurburgring, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S, challenges the Porsche Macan PP. So place your bets as they race!
The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S was the fastest in its class at the Nurburgring, with a lap covered in 7 minutes and 49.3 seconds. But how good is it actually?
The Top Gear team put the GLC 63 S face to face with the Porsch Macan Turbo with a Peformance Packae. The great absent would be the previous fastest on the Nurburgring, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
The Macan is powered by a 3.6-liter V8 engine with 440 horsepower and 600 Newton meters of torque, that boasts the optional Performance Package that helps it run from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4,4 seconds.
The GLC 63 S gets the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 power unit with 510 horsepower and 700 Newton meters of torque. The car is equipped with the RACE START function that helps it flash from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4 seconds.
They both get the electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The figures are clear, but how will it be on practice, when they get down to business? Which one collects the glory on the race track?
