Coming with the DNA of the G63 6×6, the Mercedes-AMG G 500 4×4² is one of the most extreme off-roaders on the market, which makes it just as desired. Still, its asking price of well over $200,000 is quite inhibiting for most of the buyers who can only fancy. But now, they’ve got a chance to own one.
It’s a 1:18 chance, actually, since the model is now available as a detailed 1:18 scale model, created by GTSpirit. You can’t make it far in it, but the attention given to details is just as extraordinary as in the real thing.
For the accurate replica, it was Mercedes-Benz itself that supplied data of the original design used by the company throughout the development of the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4².
The miniature off-roader will be available in a choice of eight colors, taken from the exact range of the G 500 4×4² beast: Diamond White, Electric Beam, Tektite Grey, Mauritius Blue, Sunset Beam, Alien Green, Tomato Red, and Galactic Beam. With a hint to the model’s W463 internal codename, only 463 units of each color will be manufactured and each model made of 100 parts will receive a unique number, as well as – GTSpirit says – “a number of special equipment” parts.
The price has not yet been made public, but Mercedes recommends customers to contact dealerships to secure an order or to visit the GTSpirit’s online shop.
As for the real G-Class, there’s a big chance we might see it at nex year’s Detroit Motor Show in January.
