Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 vs Porsche Macan GTS
Launched at the New York Auto Show in April 2016, Mercedes GLC target not only BMW X4, but also the 360 HP Porsche Macan GTS in the top version Mercedes-AMG GLC 43. The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4Matic is distinguished from the standard models with AMG Exterior Line package, 19 inch wheels and the sportily distinctive air intakes in the AMG front apron and the diamond radiator grille with chrome plated pins. The 367 bi-turbo V6 is mated with the new 9 speed automatic gearbox and the power is distributed in the 31/69 % front to rear. GLC 43 AMG reach the 100 km/h in only 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.The rival from Zuffenhausen is not faster at least on paper, with 5.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h (5.0 sec with optional Sport Chrono package). Both cars run on a sophisticated suspension. Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 use a sports suspension based on the Air Body Control with three settings while Macan GTS come with the Porsche Active Suspension Management and can be identified by the 20 inch wheels, standard GTS sport seats and the special version of Sport Design package. But Porsche is very expensive and despite of similar performances it is around 11,600 euro more expensive than the GLC 43. And this is not all. In 2017 Mercedes will launch also the 510 HP GLC 63 which target the Macan Turbo.
