Mansory has just performed its usual magic tricks on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. They did not make it unrecognizable, they never do. Bump in power is, as always, part of the menu as well.
The upgrade is available for both the Mercedes-Benz S 580 and S 680. And it is “deliberately discreet,” the tuner claims. No Maybach owner would want to go over the top, right? Oh, well, forget we even asked that.
The tuning experts speak of refinement, elegance and of stylishly perfecting the model. But let’s face it. There’s now a sporty touch to these luxury sedans, too.
Thus Mansory fitted new carbon parts that enhance the elegance of the exclusive models. Therefore the roof and boot spoilers, the mirror housings, the air diffuser, the side sills, the air intakes and the front lip all sport matching carbon.
There are specially developed high gloss 22-inch wheels available with the package. Their design is for the customer to choose one of the three options available.
On board the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Germany-based tuning house can fit leather with 3D embossing and carbon applications, depending on the preferences of those willing to pay. A sports steering wheel and an aluminum pedal set, plus unique floor mats are part of the plan as well. And so is the Mansory badging on board.
As previously mentioned, Mansory also added some spice on the engines. All they had to do was put in a Performance PowerBox ECU and a new four-tailpipes exhaust system.
The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 of the S 580 now brings along 600 horsepower and 820 Nm of torque. that is 97 horsepower and 120 Nm (88 lb-ft) more than standard. The S 580 leaves the S 680’s V12 with the responsibility of being the most potent in the lineup, with its 720 horsepower and 1,000 Nm. That is a 108-horsepower and 100 Nm (73 lb-ft) enhancement on the range-topper.
Remember the Mercedes-Mayabch GLS 600 4MATIC with a bullbar that Mansory showed a month ago? This time they sure hit the ball better. You can browse through the photo gallery below to make sure they did.
