The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC+ is not exactly the kind of car someone would put a bull bar on. Unless that “someone” is Mansory. Yes, they did it.

And knowing Mansory, it’s not just that bull bar that they fitted on the luxury SUV. They could not have missed what is inside and what is under the hood.

Mansory remapped the ECU, fitted new turbochargers and installed a new sports exhaust system. That’s how they made the output skyrocket all the way to 820 horsepower, with 722 pound-feet (980 Nm) of torque.

The SUV can now flash its way to 300 km/h (186 mph) and run to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds.

The car has also undergone plastic surgery to go with the power increase. Now almost every body part is in carbon fiber or displays carbon fiber details.

There is a new apron decorating the front end and there are new LED daytime running lights. Mansory decided not to mess with the radiator grille design, since the vertical slats are pretty much a Maybach trademark (AMG, too!). Thus chrome plating stays chrome everywhere The company must have resorted to this because the silver had an addition to match. What catches the eye is the massive bull bar that shows up in front of that grille. Quite inappropriate for a Maybach, don’t you think? Two protective bars showed at the opposite end. Just in case you end up off-roading with your sumptuous Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC. But why would you do that in the first place?

To round up the looks of the luxury SUV, the tuning experts fitted it with 24-inch wheels.

Full leather upholstery or 3D leather embossing are the options on board. A new leather-carbon steering wheel made its way inside. No photos of that, so we’ll just have to take their word for granted.
