Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the hottest “shooter” game on the market, will feature none other than three times Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton’s presence is not limited to a cameo either. Mercedes’ F1 champ has actually shot six full scenes and recorded multiple facial and voice expressions. And to get a taste of things, ESPN published one excerpt from these. “Captain, news reports coming on about the gateway if you want to join us,” is what Hamilton allegedly says in one of the voice clips.
The Champion of the World is very proud to get such a gig. “I loved it, it was an incredible experience. I’m incredibly honoured to be part of this game — I grew up playing it,” he said to French TV channel M6.
“I remember growing up with Super Mario, where the graphics were outdated at the time, but that’s how it was back in the day. It’s crazy to see how far it has come – it’s insane.”
Lewis Hamilton is not the only international star set to feature in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Actor Kit Harrington and UFC star Conor McGregor are also getting minor roles.
Back in the real world, Lewis Hamilton will do what he knows best next Sunday: racing against the current championship leader Nico Rosberg (33 points ahead) at the U.S. Grand Prix.
