Batman drives a Mercedes supercar. Lamborghini is long gone and Bruce Wayne has a new car for that time of the day when his Batmobile is safely parked in the cave.
Mercedes-Benz has announced its new collaboration with Warner Brothers studios and the Justice League movie, pairing its models with the superheroes in the film, including the fantastic Mercedes-AMG Vision Gran Turismo concept feature as Bruce Wayne’s daily car. The copy used in the film received a suitable interior with illuminated elements, racing seats and a virtual dashboard section. Bruce Wayne’s car had to be increased by 110% compared to the original concept revealed in 2013, so 1,90 m tall Ben Affleck could fit inside.
“As a designer you have to create fantasy, so we often get inspired by the film industry. I am excited that this time, the film industry was inspired by us and our Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo became the car for a super hero”, says Gordon Wagener, Chief Design Officer Daimler AG. “Extreme proportions, sensual contours amd intelligently implemented high tech blend to form a breathtaking body and the perfect car for Bruce Wayne.”
Mercedes-Benz vehicles will join the League alongside Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash as they race to save the planet from an alien assault of catastrophic proportions. Other Mercedes models featured in the movie are the E Class Convertible, as driven by Wonder Woman / Diana Prince and the G-Class, in a role still kept under wraps. The Justice League will come to the big screens on November 17th. Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Raymond Fisher, Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller star in the action adventure.
