It is that time of year when the snow is just right in the northern areas ofEurope. That time of year when the emotions can be converted into numbers. High-performance driving reaches its thrilling climax near Arjeplog, Sweden, at the AMG Lodge, a snowball throw from the Arctic Circle.
Out on a frozen lake, custom-made tracks are quietly waiting to withstand the icy drifts of the AMG performance cars that will, like every year, put down all their horses and torque for fun. Driving enthusiasts can perfect their techniques through different modules and can enjoy the exclusive atmosphere of the AMG Lodge and breathtaking maneuvers across ice and snow on a well-established course in complete safety conditions.
The A 45 AMG, the C 63 and of course, the brave G, to pull them out of the snow if necessary, are all part of the plan in this winter wonderland, 100 kilometers south from the Arctic Circle.
There will be a demonstration of the far-ranging driving skills in the far north, because that’s what AMG Winter Sporting in Arjeplog is all about. The organizers and instructors are wasting no time. They will pick the students up at their own personal training level and then take them through the steps to become a true winter warrior. During the build-up and perfection training sessions, the paying customers will test different powertrain concepts (rear/all-wheel) and enhance their driving skills and expertise through theory exercises, video and data analysis.
Advanced, Advanced Plus and Sporting Pro are the training courses that come for a minimum cost of 4,450 euros per person.
