Mercedes will significantly strengthen its EQ, EQ Power and EQ Boost ranges this year with no less than 10 brand new Mercedes hybrid variants.
Mercedes has just launched its first 100% electric SUV, the EQ C, which joins the Smart EQ in the electrified family from recent years. And this is only the beginning, as the star brand is planning other electric models in the near future.
But the German manufacturer does not forget the classic hybrid versions. According to British magazine Autocar, Mercedes will offer no less than ten plug-in hybrid models by the end of 2019.
The recent A-Class, the GLC and the new GLE will go the rechargeable hybrid route. In the long term, Mercedes wants to fully electrify its range by 2022. Three categories of cars will stand out by then in its range: EQ (all-electric), EQ Power (rechargeable hybrids) and EQ Boost (equipped with an electrical circuit at 48 volts).
