Floyd Mayweather – an exotic cars enthusiast? Everyone knows it, the former boxing star made sure nobody misses that information. But what is interesting is that the latest addition in his garage is the new Mercedes-Maybach S 580.
This is surely a ride that Floyd Mayweather would not want to get delivery of and put in his garage, away from the eyes of the curious. To avoid anonymity, he took it straight to social media. Not him, actually, but the dealer that delivered the exquisite sedan, Champion Motoring, based in California, tagging Floyd in the post.
The sedan joins other exotics such as the Lamborghini Urus, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a Bentley GT Continental, a Ferrari 488 GTB, a Range Rover SVAutobiography and another Maybach: the GLS 600 SUV.
“7 toys for all 7 days”, he recently wrote on his Instagram account, pointing out that he also has 8 armed bodyguards for 24 hours a day. The counting was carried out before the arrival of the Mercedes-Maybach S 580. Well, he’s got 8 cars as well now.
Among the tags of the Instagram post of the luxury car dealer, there is the “#caramelseats” one. As the hashtag says, there are indeed brown leather individual seats on board for Floyd Mayweather to enjoy his ride.
The new entry comes with the 4.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 503 PS, assisted by a EQ Boost mild-hybrid system, that provides 22 PS for limited amounts of time. The figures are enough for the car to run from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, similar to the Maybach SUV Floyd owns.
Floyd Mayweather, owner of the Mercedes-Maybach S 580, a Mercedes-enthusiast
The boxing legend is surely a fan of the three-pointed star brand. Back in November 2015 he gave a Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe to his son as a birthday gift.
Seven months later, Mayweather gave his daughter a Mercedes-AMG G-Class. She was only 16 when she became the proud owner of the lifestyle offroader.
