The Mercedes stand at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show is set to host several world premieres, including the updated GLC family and a CLA off-shoot.

Mercedes unveils its complete program for the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, which includes the presentation of the new CLA Shooting Brake. Less than two months after the presentation of the “four-door coupe”, the compact “hunting” wagon will therefore return with a second generation. Mercedes promises an assertive style combined with more practicality, and the same “smart” technologies as in the new CLA. No pictures have been revealed yet.

Also in Geneva, Mercedes will present the restyled version of the GLC which will receive for the occasion the multimedia system MBUX, a range of reviewed engines and new driving aids.

The German manufacturer also confirms the presence of the previously announced Concept EQV and V-Class electric van. The EQ label, which we currently only know from the EQ C and from the EQ A Concept, is therefore not limited to regular hatchbacks, sedans and crossovers. More sporty, the future Formula E car of the brand will be unveiled in the form of a show-car.

Smart is moving towards services
Another brand of the Daimler Group, Smart will unveil the Forease + concept at the Swiss event. Its name indicates that it should be an evolution of the Forease concept, a discoverable and minimalist electric fortwo exhibited at the last Mondial d’Automobile Paris motor show. The new vehicle will allow the firm to focus on private car-sharing services or parcel delivery, heralding the future direction for the brand.
