Only days left to the big day! The day the brand-new 2018 Mercedes-Benz A-Class will see the light of day. It is all scheduled for Detroit, the first motor show of next year.

It took the company four years to  meticulously develop the new generation of the compact Mercedes. Now the new A-Class is completing its last extensive test drives in wintry Sweden, where temperatures fall below -10 degrees Celsius. And it’s not just the real winter conditions that the hot hatch undergoes, but also the climate tunnel. These challenging testing cycles focus on the vehicle as a whole, as well as the new engines.

The video shows the future car still covered in a thick layer of camouflage, defying the snow-covered road and eventually braving layer after layer of snow covering its radiator grille, hood and windshield.

For the first time, the A family will also spring a sedan variant, that is to cross the Atlantic and be sold in the United States.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz A-Class will not only come with new engines, but will also sport a new interior. Check it out right here:
