Mercedes has posted a new badge on its facebook page in connection with the coronavirus epidemic. A simpler and more concise corporate information campaign might not be possible for the coronavirus battle.

Of course, the message is the same as Audi’s four circles recent campaign: keep the distance so you can prevent the virus from spreading. The same thing was communicated by VW.

Although the idea does not seem to be genuine, the audience understands the message: so far 150,000 have responded positively.

While social distancing can only slow down the spread of infection, it gives the health system time to prepare and can save many lives in itself.

In the United States, for example, it is now estimated that between 100 and 200 thousand people are expected to die from the epidemic, while if they do nothing, 1.6 to 2.2 million people could be killed in the country.

Along with many other automotive companies, Mercedes’ factories around the world are now closed due to the fall in demand and the restrictions caused by the new coronary epidemic and the resulting supplier insecurity. Only the Chinese factory has recently reopened, as we have already reported, giving us hope that things will soon get back to normal.
