The Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet is by nature an explorer. A go-anywhere kind of luxury vehicle that pampers its occupants with comfort. But Arctic Trucks thought it could do better. Therefore they created the Mercedes-Maybach G-Class 6×6 Hakkapeliitta.

Pixel artist Abilmelec Arellano believed that the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet is capable of exploring polar regions in sub-zero conditions. With its impressive ground clearance and intelligent axle geometry, it would be capable of tackling massive snow like no other would. But it would need just a little something extra. A “big” extra, actually. The model has been converted into a six-wheeler, inspired by both G 550 4×42 and G 63 AMG 6×6. It sports massive snow tires from Nokian that weighs 70 kilograms each. And each of them features 172 stud holes, a tread depth of 18 millimeters and a sharp V tread pattern for clearing snow.

The model now proudly bears the name of Hakkapeliitta. It displays a blue paintwork and auxiliary lights at the front and at the rear up on the roof. Nothing has changed in the cabin of the Landaulet with beige leather. But there is little chance anyone would be tempted to experience polar weather in an open-top vehicle. Hakkapeliitta

The creators mention no dimension, but one thing is clear. The footprint of the vehicle is obviously larger than that of the original Landaulet.

The Hakkapeliitta – only digital

For those who want to know the price, they must know this is only a digital conversion. There is no way such a model will ever see the light of day. Unless, of course, Mercedes finds inspiration in the Hakkapeliitta. “if it were to be real, it would be a really competent vehicle. And very, very expensive”, the artist claims.

The portofolio of Arctic Trucks also includes digital renders of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga.
