The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe has been caught on video. Mercedes’ most affordable coupe will celebrate its official debut this September.
We’ve already seen countless spy pictures and can probably pinpoint more than 80% of the new model’s styling cues. Even so, a video showing the new C-Class Coupe in motion has clearly got our attention, as a car’s proportions are always differently perceived in movement.
The new C- class Coupe will be an even sleeker design than the S-class Coupe, according to design chief Gorden Wagener. Mercedes has so far launched saloon and estate versions of the C-class, but the range will soon expand with coupe and convertible variants.
Known under the internal code name C 205, Mercedes’ new C-Class Coupe will be based on the current C-Class’ modular MRA platform. The C-Class’ engine range will be carried over as well, with a choice of turbocharged petrols and diesel engines, while AMG’s brand new 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 AMG with over 500 HP will power the range-topping Mercedes-AMG version.
An AMG Sport variant is also in the cards for the C-Class Coupe which will become Mercedes’ fourth model to get such a sportier version after GLE, C-Class and the new GLC.
