Mercedes-Benz G550 4×4² already holds more power than anyone would ever need. It rolls out the assembly lines with 37-inch tires, with a ground clearance that not even the heavy-load trucks can dream of, 16 extra inches than a regular G, and portal axles. Is there anything that could be done to upgrade this off-road monster?
It depends on who you ask, because Brabus would never take “no” for an answer. The German tuning house started with fitting bigger twin turbos on the 4.0-liter V8 engine, taking it to a total of 542 HP (415 HP in standard version), along with a torque increase. All these figures make the off-road beast run from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 6.7 seconds, which is quite impressive for such a monster.
Brabus took out the standard suspension in favor of the company’s own mechanism with electronically adjustable system with Comfort, Sport, Off-Road and Individual dumper modes and with the ability to adjust the suspension at the front and rear axles independently.
To tackle deserted places, the vehicle now features an extra set of LED driving lights. A specially fit button in the dashboard turns them all off. There is also a gigantic black bull bar.
Brabus has all this package available as a whole or as individual parts. The newly designed and reworked Mercedes-Benz G550 4×4² now has “Adventure” for his middle name!
