More than 600 PS for the all-new Mercedes-AMG E 63. 612 PS to be more precise. This is how much the fastest T-Modell estate in Mercedes’ history will offer. First spy pics courtesy of Autobild.de.
A leaked brochure reveals that the top version offers 850 Nm and sprints to 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds. In non “S” guise, the Mercedes-AMG E 63’s bi-turbo four-liter V8 churns out 571 PS and 750 Nm, enough for a 3.7 seconds acceleration to 100 km/h. Top speed is limited to 250 km / h, but 300+ km / h is possible with the optional AMG Driver’s Package.
Another new feature is the nine-speed MCT transmission. The all-wheel drive is an option on both versions. Good news for friends of cultivated Drifts: The E 63 will continue to be available with rear-wheel drive in standard shape.
For the first time the E 63 T-Modell was caught testing at the Nürburgring along with the E 63 sedan. The E 63 is easily given away by the large air intakes, the typical AMG A-Wing design, the individual ridge in the grill and the lowered suspension. Behind the black rims sit large brake discs, optional in carbon-ceramic form.
The all-new Mercedes-AMG E 63 should debut at the beginning of 2017, most likely at the Detroit motor show in January.
