After showing you the all-new GLE and its innovative active suspension, we now reveal spy pics of the new 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, a car that follows the same Coupe SUV recipe as its predecessor.
Just like the new GLE, the new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe also seems to be slightly more slender than the model that still stands at the dealers. As the latest spy pics published by Carscoops.com reveal, the new GLE Coupe is once again given a striking design profile, to say the least.
The roofline is lower than that of the regular GLE and runs sharply towards the rear. Of course, the new GLE Coupe will also spawn a beastly AMG version, a car that serves as a response to the future X5 M. The back is still covered with stickers, but expect a set of broad and relatively flat rear light units that get a place high at the top of the stern.
The model caught by spy photographers today is clearly the future Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe which will use the known 4.0 liter biturbo V8 engine. The engine line-up will also include the GLE Coupe 350 d and 400 d with the new 6 inline 3 liter turbodiesel with 286 and 340 HP plus the new petrol 6 inline 3 liter GLE 450 Coupe which debut in the new GLE 450 4Matic. 9 speed automatic gearbox and 4Matic all wheel drive will be standard across the range.
The new 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe on the market next year, some four years after the launch of the current generation. For the first time, the car, like the BMW X6, faces a competitor with four rings on his nose: the new Audi Q8.
