The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE is on its way to a new generation, due next year. Now, another prototype has been caught on video, revealing more of the new model’s styling.

With the current generation of the GLE, we must keep in mind the fact that it was just a facelifted M-Class. The name fits an SUV well, freshening up especially within the new strategy of Mercedes. The next generation is the first car that we know from the outset as GLE.

Mercedes does not leave behind the previously used styling themes, the new car is an evolution of the current design. Angular and sharp shapes are replaced by a slightly rounder design. Unlike the last time, we can already see some details. Thus, the headlights are slightly wider and the grille is growing significantly. Furthermore we perceive a wider and narrower rear.

In the interior we see between the concealing coating, details that we know from the E-Class: the four air vents and broad digital instrument panel with two displays. The GLE takes many elements of the E-class. It will probably take until next year before the new GLE comes to the market.
