2018 E-Class Coupe loses almost its camouflage in the latest spy video. Clearly, the two-door E-Class model is heavily based on the design new Coupé S-Class.
As with the sedan, the 2017 Mercedes E-Class Coupe features a long bonnet and a flat windscreen which leads the eye to the deeply recessed passenger compartment. The rear lights are narrower than before, giving the tail a brawny yet elegant look. The tailpipes are integrated into the rear apron and are associated with a chrome trim. The trunk lid that opens as only a small hatch is topped by a small rump.
Technically, the new Mercedes E-Class Coupe is naturally similar to the sedan, right down to the MRA modular platform. The interior design, with its large dual 12,3-inch digital displays, is loosely based on the styling of the four-door model already shown.
In the engine department, the E-Class Coupe will focus on the top versions: a top AMG version with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo from the AMG GT (in 476 and 510 hp guise) will be offered right from the outset, as well as an Mercedes-AMG 450 version with the 3.0-liter V6 Biturbo with 403 hp. Of course, at the bottom of the range there will be four-cylinder diesels and gasoline turbos.
