“We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of  Linkin Park’s lead singer, Chester Bennington. His immense talent has profoundly impacted our entire Mercedes-AMG community. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all band members. Rest in peace.” This is the message that Mercedes-AMG sends out to the family and friends of the artist.

Linkin Park and Mercedes-AMG are partners in promoting motorsport and music. The rockers have written and performed the soundtrack of the video promoting the C 63. The rock band members were spectators at the 24-race at Spa and a Mercedes-AMG GT3 was styled according to their preferences.

Chester Bennington, aged 41 and father of six, was found dead yesterday morning in his private residence Palo Verdes Estates, Los Angeles. The singer had hanged himself and was found by an employee before 9 a.m.

The Linkin Park frontman, who was battling drug addiction, alcoholism and depression, has recently shared stories about an abusive childhood and previous suicide attempts. His band released its new music video two hours before the news of his death broke.
