No less than seven Mercedes-Benz cars mark their Asian debut at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show. And they chose the right place to do it, as the highlight of the car show is the long-wheelbase version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, a limousine built in China for China.

With 364,000 cars handed over to Chinese customers in 2015 and a 35% growth over 2014, Mercedes-Benz keeps a strong hold on the Chinese premium market. First three months of 2016 were just as record-breaking, with already 105,000 vehicles reaching their new owners across China.

“March was our 37th record month in a row. And China is once again a decisive growth driver for us,” says Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars. “We have more and more products in our line-up that are specifically designed to meet the needs of Chinese customers. The long-wheelbase E-Class is a prime example.”

Three new Mercedes-Benz models are thrown into the Chinese market to trigger a further growth: the GLC Coupe, the SLC Roadster and the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe are helping the Chinese live the “Year of the Dream Cars”, as Mercedes-Benz is defining 2016.

Right next to them, at the Mercedes-Benz stand, the three Brabus-tuned smart versions are taking a stand.
