Mercedes GLC has constantly been winning not only the public’s attention, but also award after award for almost a year now. Time for a new accolade then, the WardsAuto 10 Best Interiors Of 2016 title to be more precise.
According to WardsAuto editors, the Mercedes GLC made a big impression thanks to its modern yet elegant design language lifted straight from its C-Class brother. The award motivation mentions that the GLC is also “supremely comfortable in the front row” and offers a long list of tech and comfort features. Well, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
Every year, WardsAuto is choosing the 10 best interiors in the industry. And they don’t simply nominate based on style, but also depending on the respective’s car potential to raise the bar for each segment on the market.
This year, the nominee list included no less than 47 brand new models, characterized by new or significantly improved interiors. The selection process of the 10 winners asessed the overall design, materials, ergonomics, safety, comfort, value, fit-and-finish and the user-friendliness of the so-called human-machine interface.
“It’s important that the Wards 10 Best Interiors list include mainstream, affordable vehicles, but the average price of a new vehicle in the U.S. has risen past $33,000, which is forcing us to reconsider how we define mainstream, affordable vehicles,” Drew Winter, director-content at WardsAuto, explains.
