The new Mercedes-Benz EQC is now being shown in the first trailer for the first member of the EQ family. The crossover combines the classic virtues of Mercedes-Benz such as quality, safety and comfort and offers dynamic performance – thanks to two electric motors with a combined output of 300 kW.

It is enough for the car to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in just 5.1 seconds and runs for approximately 279 miles (450 kilometers) between two charging sessions, according to the New European Driving Cycle, so the figures may change as the new WLTP is already in force starting September 1st.

The video, accompanied by the slogan “Electric now has a Mercedes”, shows the car with the familiar styling cues of the company, with lines similar to those of the GLC and the MBUX displayed on two 10.25-inch screens, but also advanced features and technologies appropriate for a newly developed EV.

Five driving programs are available onboard the new Mercedes-Benz EQC (Comfort, Eco, Sport, Individual and Max range), together with four recuperation modes for maximum efficiency. Customers can choose one of the two equipment lines: AMG Line and Electric Art.

The premium car maker is currently gearing up to manufacture the EQC in Bremen, Germany, and at the Beijing Benz Automotive plant in China, with the latter covering the needs of the Chinese market.
