When you have invented everything out there, where do you go from here? The only logical step is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the next level of automotive intelligence, personalized driving comfort and high-end performance.
Mercedes-Benz has made public one of the first TV commercials of its exclusive sedan that premiered this year in Shanghai. The best-selling luxury sedan in the world, with 300,000 units sold since 2013, now comes with a new steering wheel, a new touchpad and dual screens taken from the futuristic E-Class sedan.
Reaching next level in terms of safety, the S-Class comes with an unprecedented driving assistance package that includes features like the Distronic active distance assistant, the Active Steering Assistant, Active Emergency Assist system and the interminable list goes on.
Even the production process is second to none, as the car drives independently off the final assembly line, with no driver behind the steering wheel. This is followed by the car rolling for 1.5 kilometers approximately to the loading area of the plant. Newly developed and patented technology based on cameras, radars and ultrasonic sensors, is used to ensure that the car reaches its destination.
