Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg and Dree Hemingway are the main characters of the Autumn/Winter 2015 fashion campaign.
In order to shoot the campaign, the trio was transported to the Sindelfingen wind-tunnel where Mercedes-Benz models are tested against the forces of nature. Rosberg steers the muscular Mercedes-AMG GT, while Hamilton takes the classic model, Mercedes-Benz C 111. High fashion fits perfectly into the pit lane courtesy of HUGO BOSS, the outfitter of choice for Hamilton, Rosberg and Hemingway. It was produced in order to celebrate Mercedes-Benz sponsorship of the world’s finest fashion weeks.
Collier Schorr for Autumn/Winter 2015 is the sixteenth Mercedes-Benz fashion campaign, basically a tradition that highlights the commitment to the many international fashion events (Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weeks in Beijing, Moscow and Berlin and the fashion weeks in London, Milan, Paris and many others – all of them supported by Mercedes-Benz. This is the first time when Formula 1 drivers have taken the Mercedes-Benz fashion podium.
It is worth mentioning that Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg are drivers for the UK-based Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team, a team that won 13 of the first 16 races of the 2014 F1 season.
The fashion campaign was mastermind by Collier Schorr, a senior photography critic and faculty member at the Yale University School of Art. Her portfolios have covered subjects such as wrestling, masculinity in the military.
