So different and yet they’ve got something in common. The boxy Unimog U5030 and the Mercedes-Benz G 500 4×4² have left the tarmac to prove what they can do where other vehicles would never dare to go. Now the Alien and the Predator play on the same team!

The off-road pride and joy of the three-pointed star brand, the Mercedes-Benz G 500 4×4², fights its way through mud and water, along steep ramps and rocky terrain.

The portal axles from the G 63 AMG 6×6, the dual braking system, would put it through 1-meter deep water and it doesn’t even blink. It is the first G ever to be powered by the 4.0-liter V8 rated at 422 HP that makes it defy its rivals that tend to suffocate in such rough conditions.

In the video, it only needs 30 seconds to go from shiny blue to dirty grey, with all the adventure in between.

Its companion in the off-road is none other than the Unimog, the solid truck especially designed for extreme off-road capability: the U 5030 is fitted with a mighty 6-cyliner 7.7-liter engine. After undergoing a major change in the workshops of Hellgeth Engineering Co. and featuring impressive ground clearance, extreme approach, departure and slope angles, the Unimog climbs stairs at a 60% incline, without losing its breath.
